In this lesson for 2nd Year Middle School students in Algeria, we study English — Grammar: Present Continuous Tense (formation and use) — 2nd Year Middle School — Algerian Curriculum according to the Algerian curriculum.
The present continuous expresses actions happening now or around now. Formation: subject + am/is/are + verb-ing. Negative: subject + am/is/are + not + verb-ing. Questions: Am/Is/Are + subject + verb-ing? Time expressions: now, at the moment, today, this week.
Examples
Example 1: She is reading a book now.
Example 2: They are playing football at the moment.
Example 3: Are you listening to me? (question)
