Describing Animals and Pets
Animals vocabulary is fun and useful for describing pets and wildlife.
Pets:
dog, cat, rabbit, hamster, bird, fish, turtle
Farm animals:
cow, horse, sheep, goat, chicken, duck, donkey
Wild animals:
lion, tiger, elephant, giraffe, monkey, bear, wolf, fox, deer
Adjectives to describe animals:
big/small, fast/slow, tall/short, dangerous/friendly, wild/domestic
Example:
“I have a cat. It is small and black. It likes to play with a ball. It sleeps a lot.”
Exercises:
Exercise 1: Describe your pet or a pet you would like to have.
Exercise 2: Choose a wild animal and write 5 facts about it.
