A Famous Person Biography
Writing a biography helps you practise the simple past and learn about important people.
Structure of a biography:
- Name and birth information
- Early life and education
- Main achievements
- Death (if applicable) or current status
- Why they are important
Example: Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein was born in 1879 in Germany. He was a scientist. He developed the theory of relativity. He won the Nobel Prize in 1921. He died in 1955. He is considered one of the greatest scientists of all time.
Useful verbs for biographies:
was born, grew up, studied, worked, discovered, invented, wrote, won, died
