Connectors join sentences and ideas together.
1. And (addition)
I like apples and oranges. She sings and dances.
2. But (contrast)
I like football but my brother likes tennis. She is rich but unhappy.
3. Or (choice/alternative)
Do you want tea or coffee? You can come or stay.
4. Because (reason)
I am happy because I passed the exam. He stayed home because he was sick.
5. So (result/consequence)
I was tired so I went to bed. It rained so we stayed inside.
6. Exercises
Complete: I woke up late _____ I missed the bus. She studied hard _____ she passed.
