Say tell + that clause. He said that he was tired. She told me that she would come.

Reporting Questions

Wh-questions: keep the question word. Yes/no questions: use if/whether. Word order changes to statement form.

Reporting Commands and Requests

Use tell ask order + infinitive. He told me to sit down. She asked him to help her.
