Will

Spontaneous decisions, predictions (opinion), promises. Form: will + base verb.

• I’ll help you! (spontaneous)
• I think it will rain. (prediction)
• I will always love you. (promise)

Going to

Plans, predictions based on evidence. Form: am/is/are + going to + verb.

• We are going to visit grandparents. (plan)
• Look at those clouds! It’s going to rain. (evidence)

Present Continuous for future

Fixed arrangements. I am meeting my friend at 6 PM.
