The Family Tree and Family Members
Family vocabulary is essential for introducing yourself and talking about your relatives.
Immediate family:
father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, husband, wife, parents, children
Extended family:
grandfather, grandmother, uncle, aunt, cousin, nephew, niece, grandson, granddaughter
Possessive form:
- My mother’s name is Fatima.
- Ahmed’s brother is a doctor.
- This is my father’s car.
Example paragraph:
“I live with my parents and my two brothers. My father is an engineer and my mother is a teacher. My grandfather lives with us too.”
