Colours and Shapes

Colours

• Red — The flag of Algeria has red.
• Blue — The sky is blue.
• Green — The grass is green.
• Yellow — The sun is yellow.
• Black — The night is black.
• White — The snow is white.
• Orange, Pink, Purple, Brown, Grey.

Shapes

• Circle (round) — a ball, a coin.
• Square — a window, a box.
• Rectangle — a door, a book.
• Triangle — a pyramid, a tent.

Describing Objects

“I have a red rectangular book.” — “The board is black and rectangular.”

Practice

1. What colour is: the sky? the sun? grass? a banana?
2. Describe your classroom using colours and shapes.
3. Draw and colour 3 shapes, then write a sentence for each.
