Introduction
In this lesson, we will learn how to make predictions about the future using will and won’t – will not. This is an important grammar skill for expressing future events, forecasts, and promises.

1. When Do We Use “Will”?
We use will to:
- Make predictions about the future based on opinion not evidence: I think it will rain tomorrow.
- Express promises: I will help you with your homework.
- Make spontaneous decisions made at the moment of speaking: The phone is ringing. I will answer it.
- Make offers and requests: I will carry your bag for you. Will you open the door please?

3. Examples of Predictions
- I think it will be sunny tomorrow.
- Scientists say the temperature will rise in the next 50 years.
- In the future people will live on Mars.
- I don’t think it will rain today.
- He won’t pass the exam if he doesn’t study.
- Robots will replace many jobs in the future.
4. Will vs. Going to
