Prepositions of Place

Prepositions of place show where something or someone is located.

Main prepositions

In: inside a space. The book is in my bag. She is in the classroom.
On: on a surface. The pen is on the desk. The cat is on the roof.
At: a specific point. She is at school. He is at the door.
Under: below something. The cat is under the table.
Behind: at the back. The school is behind the mosque.
Between: in the middle. The bank is between the post office and the café.
Next to / beside: near. My house is next to the park.
