So, Neither, Either, Nor: Expressing Agreement and Disagreement
Using “so”, “too”, “either”, “neither”, and “nor” correctly helps express agreement or shared experiences naturally in conversations.
I. Expressing Agreement with Positive Statements
So + auxiliary + subject
“I like reading.” → “So do I.”
“She is a student.” → “So am I.”
“They have finished.” → “So have I.”
Subject + auxiliary + too (informal)
“I like reading.” → “I do too.”
II. Expressing Agreement with Negative Statements
Neither/Nor + auxiliary + subject
“I dont like coffee.” → “Neither do I.” / “Nor do I.”
“She cant swim.” → “Neither can I.”
Subject + auxiliary + either (informal)
“I dont like coffee.” → “I dont either.”
III. Expressing Disagreement

IV. Examples in Context
