Introduction

Key Personalities
- Emir Abdelkader (1808-1883): Religious and military leader who led the resistance against French colonization. He was also a scholar, poet, and philosopher known for his chivalry and humanitarian values.
- Abdelhamid Ben Badis (1889-1940): Founder of the Association of Algerian Muslim Scholars, a key figure in the Algerian Islamic reform movement. He worked to preserve Algerian identity.
