Present Simple

Used for habits, routines, facts.

• I wake up at 7 am.
• She plays tennis every Friday.
• The sun rises in the east.

Present Continuous

Used for actions happening now or around now.

• I am studying English now.
• She is playing tennis at the moment.
• They are watching TV right now.

Key differences
