First Conditional

Used for real or possible situations in the future.

Structure

If + present simple, will + base verb.

If it rains, I will stay home.

Examples

🔹 If you study hard, you will pass the exam.
🔹 If she comes early, we will watch a movie.
🔹 If they invite me, I will go to the party.

Usage

We use the first conditional when the condition is possible and likely to happen.

Variations

• If + present simple, may/might/can + base verb: If you hurry, you may catch the bus.
• If + present simple, imperative: If you see him, tell him to call me.
