Possessive Adjectives and Pronouns
Possessive adjectives and pronouns show ownership. Adjectives come before a noun; pronouns replace the noun.
Possessive Adjectives
- I -> my (my book)
- You -> your (your pen)
- He -> his (his car)
- She -> her (her bag)
- It -> its (its tail)
- We -> our (our school)
- They -> their (their house)
Possessive Pronouns
mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs
Examples
This is my pencil. -> This pencil is mine.
That is her bag. -> That bag is hers.
Exercises
