Future Tenses

English has several ways to express the future. Will and Going to are the most common.

Will

Uses: spontaneous decisions (I’ll help you), predictions (It will rain), promises (I’ll call you), offers (I’ll open the door). Form: will + base verb.

Going to

Uses: planned intentions (I’m going to study medicine), predictions with evidence (Look at those clouds! It’s going to rain). Form: am/is/are + going to + base verb.

Present Continuous for Future

Fixed arrangements: I’m meeting my friend tomorrow.
