📌 Part One: Reading Comprehension (12 points)
Read the text carefully and answer the questions below:
Entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as a key driver of economic growth and innovation. Young entrepreneurs bring fresh perspectives, energy, and digital skills to the business world. In many countries, governments have launched programs to encourage youth entrepreneurship, offering training, mentorship, and financial support to help young people turn their ideas into successful businesses.
The rise of the digital economy has lowered the barriers to starting a business. With just a laptop and an internet connection, young entrepreneurs can launch an online store, create a mobile app, or offer freelance services to clients around the world. Platforms like Etsy, Shopify, and Fiverr have enabled millions of young people to become self-employed and build careers on their own terms.
However, entrepreneurship is not without challenges. Many young entrepreneurs struggle to access funding, as banks and investors are often reluctant to lend to inexperienced business owners. Additionally, balancing business responsibilities with education or family commitments can be difficult. The fear of failure and the stigma associated with bankruptcy in some cultures can also discourage young people from taking the entrepreneurial path.
Despite these challenges, the entrepreneurial spirit continues to grow among young people. Education systems are adapting by incorporating entrepreneurship courses and business incubators into their programs. Mentorship programs connecting experienced business leaders with young entrepreneurs have proven particularly effective. As the world of work continues to evolve, entrepreneurship offers young people a path to economic independence and personal fulfillment.

Model answer — Topic 1:
Introduction — In an era of economic uncertainty and changing labor markets, the idea of entrepreneurship has become increasingly attractive to young people. But is starting a business really a better option than traditional employment?
Body (supporting) — Entrepreneurship offers independence, the opportunity to pursue one’s passion, and unlimited earning potential. In Algeria, the ANSEJ and other government programs provide funding and support for young entrepreneurs. The digital economy has made it easier than ever to start a business with minimal capital.
Body (counter-arguments) — However, entrepreneurship carries significant risks: unstable income, long working hours, and the pressure of responsibility. Not everyone has the personality or circumstances to succeed as an entrepreneur. Traditional employment offers stability, benefits, and career progression without the same level of risk.
Conclusion — Entrepreneurship is not for everyone, but it is a valuable option that should be encouraged. The choice between entrepreneurship and traditional employment depends on individual circumstances, skills, and risk tolerance. The key is to ensure that young people have the information and support to make the right choice for themselves.
