The Vocative Style Rules and Types

The vocative is a grammatical style used to call or address someone or something.

Definition

The vocative uses calling particles to address a person thing or concept. The main tool is ya.

Types of Vocative

Proper noun: O Zayd come. Indefinite intended: O student work hard. Indefinite not intended: O man. Close relation: the called is accusative.

Grammatical Rules

After ya the called is accusative if indefinite or construct. For proper nouns it can be nominative without nunation.
