Comparative and Superlative Adjectives
Comparative
Used to compare two things: adjective-er + than / more + adjective + than
- Short adjectives: tall → taller than, big → bigger than
- Long adjectives: beautiful → more beautiful than
- Irregular: good → better than, bad → worse than
Superlative
Used to compare one thing with all others: the + adjective-est / the most + adjective
- Short: tall → the tallest
- Long: beautiful → the most beautiful
- Irregular: good → the best, bad → the worst
