Grammar: Comparatives and Superlatives
We use comparatives to compare two things and superlatives to compare three or more things.
1. Comparative Adjectives
Structure: Adjective + -er / more + adjective + than

| Short (1 syllable) | tall | taller than |
| Short (1 syllable ending -e) | nice | nicer than |
| Short (CVC pattern) | big | bigger than |
| Short (2 syllables ending -y) | happy | happier than |
| Long (2+ syllables) | beautiful | more beautiful than |
2. Superlative Adjectives
Structure: The + adjective + -est / the most + adjective

Irregular Forms
- good → better than → the best
- bad → worse than → the worst
- far → farther/further than → the farthest/furthest
