Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing our planet. It refers to long-term changes in temperature and weather patterns, mainly caused by human activities.
What Causes Climate Change?
The burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, gas) releases greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Deforestation also contributes because trees absorb CO2. Farming and industrial activities produce methane and other greenhouse gases.
Effects of Climate Change
Rising global temperatures, melting ice caps, rising sea levels, extreme weather events (floods, droughts, storms), loss of biodiversity, desertification. These changes affect agriculture, water resources, and human health.
What Can We Do?
Reduce, reuse, recycle. Save energy at home. Plant trees. Use public transport. Raise awareness about environmental issues. Every small action counts!
