Grammar: Countable and Uncountable Nouns (2nd Year MS)

Countable nouns

Countable nouns can be counted. They have singular and plural forms. Ex: one apple, two apples

Uncountable nouns

Uncountable nouns cannot be counted. Ex: water, milk, rice, bread, sugar

Quantifiers

• Countable: a, an, some, any, many, a few
• Uncountable: some, any, much, a little
