Writing a Narrative Paragraph
A narrative paragraph tells a story. Structure: orientation (who, when, where), events (what happened in order), resolution (how it ended). Use past tenses (simple past, past continuous, past perfect). Time connectors: first, then, next, after that, finally, later, suddenly, meanwhile. Example: Last summer, I visited my grandparents in the countryside. When I arrived, they were waiting for me. We spent the day in the garden. Then, my grandmother cooked a delicious meal. In the evening, we sat by the fire and told stories. It was a wonderful day. Exercise: Write a narrative paragraph about an unforgettable experience. Related: Writing.
