Healthy eating is important for our growth and development. In this lesson, we learn food vocabulary and how to talk about healthy eating habits.
1. Food Groups
- Fruits: apple, banana, orange, grape, strawberry, watermelon
- Vegetables: carrot, potato, tomato, lettuce, onion, cucumber
- Proteins: meat, chicken, fish, eggs, beans, lentils
- Dairy: milk, cheese, yoghurt, butter
- Grains: bread, rice, pasta, couscous, cereal
2. Healthy vs Unhealthy Food
Healthy: fruits, vegetables, fish, milk, nuts, whole grains
Unhealthy: chips, sweets, soda, fast food, cakes, biscuits
3. Expressions for Eating Habits
- I eat breakfast every morning.
- I should eat more vegetables.
- I need to drink more water.
- Fast food is not good for your health.
4. Example Paragraph
“I try to eat healthy food every day. For breakfast, I eat bread with cheese and drink milk. For lunch, I eat chicken with rice and vegetables. I eat fruits like apples and bananas. I avoid fast food and sweets because they are unhealthy.”
