Phrasal Verbs: Common Verbs and Their Meanings
Phrasal verbs are combinations of a verb + preposition or adverb that create a new meaning. Common phrasal verbs: look after (take care of), give up (stop trying), turn on/off (start/stop a device), look for (search), look forward to (anticipate), get along with (have good relations), run out of (exhaust supply), take care of (handle), put off (postpone), come across (find by chance).
