Writing a Biography: Structure and Language

A biography tells the story of a real persons life. It is a common writing task in the BAC exam.

Structure

• Introduction: Who the person is, why they are famous.
• Early life: Birth, family, education.
• Career/Achievements: Main accomplishments.
• Later life and legacy: Death, influence.
