Adverbs of Frequency: Always, Usually, Sometimes, Never
This lesson covers adverbs of frequency in English. For 1st year literary stream students.
List of Adverbs
- Always (100%): “I always wake up early.”
- Usually (90%): “She usually takes the bus.”
- Often (70%): “We often go to the park.”
- Sometimes (50%): “He sometimes plays football.”
- Seldom (10%): “They seldom eat out.”
- Never (0%): “I never smoke.”
Position
Before the main verb: “She always arrives early.”
After the verb “to be”: “He is always late.”
Exercises
Put the adverb in the correct position: “She (often) visits her grandmother.”
