Possessive Adjectives

Before a noun: my, your, his, her, its, our, their.

• This is my book.
• She likes her school.

Possessive Pronouns

Replace a noun: mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs.

• This book is mine.
• The red car is theirs.

Difference

Adjective + Noun	Pronoun
This is my pen.	This pen is mine.
That is her bag.	That bag is hers.
