Used for plans and predictions: subject + am/is/are + going to + base verb.

Plans

• I am going to visit Paris next summer.
• She is going to study medicine.
• We are going to have dinner together.

Predictions

• It is going to rain. Look at the clouds.
• They are going to win the match.

Negative

I am not going to go. She is not going to come.

Questions

Are you going to travel? What are you going to do?

Exercise
