Comparative and Superlative Adjectives
Comparative
Used to compare two things: adjective + -er + than / more + adjective + than.
- short: shorter than. Ali is shorter than Ahmed.
- big: bigger than. My house is bigger than yours.
- expensive: more expensive than. Cars are more expensive than bikes.
Superlative
Used to compare three or more: the + adjective + -est / the most + adjective.
- short: the shortest. Ali is the shortest in class.
- big: the biggest. This is the biggest house.
- expensive: the most expensive. This is the most expensive car.
Irregular
good → better → the best. bad → worse → the worst. far → farther/further → the farthest/furthest.
