Adjectives: Order and Position
Adjectives describe nouns. Their order follows specific rules.
Position:
- Attributive: before noun. “A beautiful house.”
- Predicative: after verb. “The house is beautiful.”
Order (DOSA-COMP):
Determiner, Opinion, Size, Age, Shape, Color, Origin, Material, Purpose, Noun.
Example: “A beautiful large old round red Italian wooden coffee table.”
Comparative/Superlative:
taller than, the tallest, more beautiful than, the most beautiful.
