Adjective Order and Position

Order of adjectives (OSASCOMP):

Opinion (beautiful) → Size (big) → Age (old) → Shape (round) → Color (red) → Origin (French) → Material (wooden) → Purpose (sleeping) + Noun.
Ex: “A beautiful big old round red French wooden sleeping bag.”

Position:

Most adjectives go before the noun (attributive position).
Some go after the verb “to be” (predicative position).
Ex: “The house is big.” (predicative) vs “It is a big house.” (attributive)
