Comparatives

Short adjectives 1 syllable: adj-er + than (taller than, faster than). Long adjectives 2+ syllables: more + adj + than (more beautiful than). Irregular: good better than, bad worse than, far farther than.

Superlatives

Short: the + adj-est (the tallest). Long: the most + adj (the most beautiful). Irregular: good the best, bad the worst, far the farthest.
