Object Pronouns (Me, You, Him, Her, It, Us, Them) — Grammar, Examples and Exercises — English 2nd Year Middle School — Algerian Curriculum

Object pronouns (me, you, him, her, it, us, them) are words that replace the object of a sentence. They help us avoid repetition and make sentences shorter and more natural. For example, instead of saying “I see Ahmed,” we say “I see him.” In this lesson, we will learn all the object pronouns with rules, examples, and exercises.

ضمائر المفعول (me, you, him, her, it, us, them) هي كلمات تحل محل المفعول به في الجملة. تساعدنا على تجنب التكرار وتجعل الجمل أقصر وأكثر طبيعية.

Part 1: What Are Object Pronouns? — ما هي ضمائر المفعول؟

\n\n

In English, every sentence has a subject (who does the action) and an object (who receives the action). Look at this example:

\n\n

“Ali likes Sara.” → Ali (subject) + likes (verb) + Sara (object)

\n\n

We can replace the object (Sara) with an object pronoun: “Ali likes her.”
