1. Weather Vocabulary

Here are the most common weather words you need to know:

Sunny — مشمس (The sun is shining)
Cloudy — غائم (Many clouds in the sky)
Rainy — ممطر (It is raining)
Windy — عاصف الرياح (The wind is blowing)
Snowy — مثلج (Snow is falling)
Foggy — ضبابي (There is fog)
Stormy — عاصف (There is a storm)
Hot — حار (High temperature)
Cold — بارد (Low temperature)
Warm — دافئ (Pleasantly hot)
Cool — بارد لطيف (Slightly cold)

2. The Four Seasons

Spring (الربيع): March, April, May. The weather becomes warm, flowers bloom, and birds sing.

Summer (الصيف): June, July, August. The weather is hot and sunny. People go to the beach and swim.

Autumn (الخريف): September, October, November. The weather becomes cool, leaves fall from trees, and it often rains.

Winter (الشتاء): December, January, February. The weather is cold, it may snow in some regions, and the days are shorter.

3. Grammar: Talking about Weather

Use “It is” + adjective: “It is sunny today.” / “It is cold in winter.”

Use “There is/are” + noun: “There is a lot of rain in autumn.” / “There are clouds in the sky.”

Questions: “What is the weather like today?” — “It is hot and sunny.”

“What is your favourite season?” — “My favourite season is spring because it is warm.”
