Modal Verbs
Modal verbs are auxiliary verbs that express ability, obligation, advice, or possibility.
Can
Ability: I can swim. / Permission: Can I go out?
Must
Obligation/necessity: You must wear a seatbelt. / You must not (mustn’t) smoke here.
Should
Advice/recommendation: You should study more. / You shouldn’t eat too much sugar.
May/Might
Possibility: It may rain today. / I might visit you tomorrow.
