Would rather
I would rather + base verb (specific preference).
Ex: I would rather stay home than go out.
Ex: Would you rather have tea or coffee?
Prefer
I prefer + noun/to + verb (general preference).
Ex: I prefer tea to coffee.
Ex: I prefer to read rather than watch TV.
Exercises
