Comparatives and Superlatives

Comparatives are used to compare two things. Structure: adjective-er + than (for short adjectives: tall -> taller than) or more + adjective + than (for long adjectives: beautiful -> more beautiful than). Superlatives are used to compare one thing with all others. Structure: the + adjective-est (for short adjectives: tall -> the tallest) or the most + adjective (for long adjectives: beautiful -> the most beautiful). Irregular forms: good-better-the best, bad-worse-the worst, far-further-furthest. Examples: Ahmed is taller than Ali. This is the most interesting book I have read.
