Personal Pronouns: Subject and Object

Personal pronouns replace nouns to avoid repetition. They change form depending on their function in the sentence.

Subject Pronouns

Used as the subject of a verb:

• I – You – He – She – It – We – They
• Example: “She is a teacher.” / “They live in Algeria.”

Object Pronouns

Used as the object of a verb or preposition:

• Me – You – Him – Her – It – Us – Them
• Example: “The teacher helped me.” / “I saw him yesterday.”

Exercises
