Countable and Uncountable Nouns

Countable Nouns

Can be counted have plural forms. Examples: apple/apples book/books student/students. Use a/an for singular some/any/many/few for plural.

Uncountable Nouns

Cannot be counted no plural form. Examples: water milk rice sugar money information advice news homework. Use some/any/much/little.

Quantifiers

Countable: many few a few a number of. Uncountable: much little a little a great deal of. Both: some any a lot of lots of plenty of no.

Examples: There are many books. I have much homework. She has a lot of friends.
