Grammar: The Gerund (-ing form)
A gerund functions as a noun. Uses: subject (Swimming is good), after prepositions (Thank you for helping), after certain verbs (enjoy, like, love, hate, finish, stop: I enjoy reading), after go for activities (go swimming).
Verbs followed by infinitive: want (I want to go), need (She needs to study), decide (He decided to leave).
Exercise: Complete: I enjoy (read) __. She wants (visit) Paris __. They finished (clean) __.
