Comparison: Comparative and Superlative Adjectives

Comparative

Short adjectives: add -er (tall > taller, big > bigger).
Long adjectives: more + adj (beautiful > more beautiful).
Irregular: good > better, bad > worse, far > farther/further.

Superlative

Short: the + -est (the tallest).
Long: the most + adj (the most beautiful).
Irregular: the best, the worst, the farthest/furthest.

Structures

Comparative: “She is taller than me.”
Superlative: “She is the tallest in the class.”
as…as: “He is as tall as his brother.”
