Writing a Book Review
A book review is a critical evaluation of a book. It describes, analyzes, and gives an opinion about a literary work.
Structure of a Book Review
1. Introduction: Title, author, genre and your overall impression.
2. Summary: Brief plot summary (no spoilers!).
3. Analysis: Characters, themes, writing style, strengths and weaknesses.
4. Evaluation: Why you liked or disliked the book, who would enjoy it.
5. Conclusion: Final recommendation and rating.
Useful Language

- The author explores themes such as…
- What I liked most about the book is…
- I would recommend this book to…
Exercise
Write a short book review (150 words) of a book you have read recently. Include: title, author, brief plot, your opinion, and recommendation.
