Present Perfect Tense

Used for past actions with connection to the present.

Form

have/has + past participle

I have visited Paris. / She has finished her homework.

For vs Since

• FOR + duration: for two years, for a week, for a long time
• SINCE + starting point: since 2020, since Monday, since I was a child

Already and Yet

• ALREADY (affirmative): I have already eaten.
• YET (negative/question): I haven’t finished yet. / Have you seen it yet?
