Asking for and Giving Directions
Asking: Excuse me, how do I get to…? Could you tell me the way to…? Where is the nearest…? Is it far? Giving: Go straight ahead. Turn left/right. Take the first/second street on the left/right. It is next to/opposite/near/behind/between/on the corner. Prepositions: at (at the traffic lights), on (on your left). Dialogue: A: Excuse me, where is the post office? B: Go straight ahead, turn right at the traffic lights. It is on your left, next to the bank. A: Thank you. B: You are welcome.
