British vs American English: Common Vocabulary Differences
English is a global language spoken in many countries around the world. The two most common varieties are British English (BrE) and American English (AmE). - -yse vs -yze: analyse/analyze, catalyse/catalyze
- Double consonants: travelled/traveled, labelled/labeled, cancelled/canceled

Grammar Differences
- Present perfect vs past simple: BrE uses present perfect for recent actions (“I have just eaten”), while AmE often uses past simple (“I just ate”).
- Collective nouns: BrE treats collective nouns as plural (“The team are playing well”), while AmE treats them as singular (“The team is playing well”).
- Prepositions: BrE says “at the weekend”, AmE says “on the weekend”. BrE says “different to/from”, AmE says “different from/than”.
- Have vs Have got: BrE prefers “have got” for possession (“I have got a car”), while AmE prefers “have” (“I have a car”).
