Asking for and Giving Your Name
Question: “What is your name?” — Answer: “My name is Ahmed.” or “I am Ahmed.”
Question: “How do you spell that?” — Answer: “A-H-M-E-D.”
Asking for and Giving Your Age
Question: “How old are you?” — Answer: “I am twelve years old.”
Use the verb to be: I am, you are, he/she is, we are, they are.
Asking for and Giving Country and Nationality
Question: “Where are you from?” — Answer: “I am from Algeria.”
Question: “What is your nationality?” — Answer: “I am Algerian.”
Example Dialogue
A: “Hello! What is your name?”
B: “Hi! My name is Fatima.”
A: “How old are you, Fatima?”
B: “I am thirteen years old. And you?”
A: “I am twelve. Where are you from?”
B: “I am from Algeria. I am Algerian.”
