📖 Warm-Up
Karim is talking to his friend, Samir: “I have finished my homework. Have you ever visited the new library? I haven’t seen you there yet. Samir replies: “No, I have never been there, but I have already heard it’s amazing!” The verbs in bold are in the Present Perfect tense. Let’s learn how to use this tense.

1. Formation
Subject + have/has + past participle (V3)

2. Regular Past Participles
For regular verbs, add -ed to the base form:

4. When to Use Present Perfect
We use Present Perfect for:
- Life experiences: I have visited Tlemcen. (متى؟ غير مهم أو غير معروف)
- Recent past actions: She has just finished her exam.
- Actions continuing to now: I have studied English for 3 years.
- News/Announcements: The president has arrived.
5. Signal Words (كلمات دالة)

6. Present Perfect vs Simple Past
Simple Past: action finished at a specific time in the past (yesterday, last week, in 2020)
Present Perfect: action with connection to now (no specific time, experience, recent)
Examples:
✅ I visited Oran last summer. (Simple Past — وقت محدد)
✅ I have visited Oran twice. (Present Perfect — تجربة)
✅ She finished her homework an hour ago. (Simple Past)
✅ She has just finished her homework. (Present Perfect — حديث)
