Describing trends

increase/rise/go up, decrease/fall/go down, remain stable/steady, fluctuate, peak at, reach a low point.

Describing speed

gradually, steadily, sharply, dramatically, slightly, rapidly, significantly.

Describing proportions

the majority of, a significant minority, a small percentage, roughly half, exactly a quarter.
