Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam. It is a pilgrimage to Makkah that every Muslim must perform at least once if able.

Definition and Obligation

Hajj is visiting the Sacred House of Allah in Makkah to perform specific rituals. It became obligatory in 9 AH.

Rites of Hajj

Ihram state of consecration. Tawaf circling the Kabah. Sai between Safa and Marwa. Standing at Arafah the essential rite. Muzdalifah Mina stoning the pillars sacrifice shaving.

Wisdom of Hajj

Unity of Muslims equality humility spiritual purification connection with prophetic tradition.
